Public Policy.

CARE’s daily, on-the-ground experience as a consumer of health care affords us a natural expertise that can help inform public policymakers in our state. Through that experience we can help identify critical issues that need to be addressed. We can opine, with authority, on the implications of legislative and regulatory proposals.

CARE’S voice on public policy is amplified by the expertise and the experience of the volunteers who serve in its guardianship programs and see directly the issues impacting those vulnerable adults living in various long-term care settings. CARE’s corps of volunteers can become a corps of advocates helping to effect change.
